The head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bruce Arians, has a fiery personality that sometimes goes against the grain. He coaches Tom Brady, the greatest quarterback in history, but he also sees the younger quarterbacks’ potential. Arians said that there is only one signal-caller under the age of 26 who is the best right now, and it isn’t Patrick Mahomes.

In the NFL, the quarterback position is loaded with young talent. To win today’s game, excellent quarterback play is needed since the league has changed significantly to become a passing league.
The favorite, Patrick Mahomes (26), is in the lead. Since taking over as the full-time starter for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018, he has dominated the NFL. He led the league with 50 passing touchdowns in 2018. He also leads the NFL with 14 touchdowns this season.
Even though Mahomes is a great quarterback, the league’s future looks bright since there are a plethora of other talented quarterbacks on the rise.
Josh Allen (25), who had a breakout year in 2020, passed for 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns. The Buffalo Bills have established themselves as a legitimate AFC contender. The Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson (24) is a former MVP and the league’s most dangerous dual-threat quarterback.
The hottest quarterback thus far is Kyler Murray (24), who has guided the Arizona Cardinals to a 4-0 start in 2021. He is now the MVP frontrunner. The rookie class of 2021 includes future stars Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance.
According to Bruce Arians, college football is producing some of the best quarterback talent it has ever produced. “For almost eight years, we didn’t have any quarterbacks coming out of college,” he said on The Dan Patrick Show. “Today’s quarterback talent in college is much better than what it was before.”
Arians believes Justin Herbert is the best young quarterback in the league right now.
Bruce Arians was presented with an interesting hypothetical situation by Dan Patrick. He asked the Bucs’ head coach which quarterback he would choose in a draft of NFL quarterbacks under the age of 26.
The Arians overlooked Allen, Jackson, and Murray. Instead, he chose the Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert (23). Herbert praised Herbert’s adjustment from college to the NFL, as well as his raw talent.
Arians said, “He’s got all the measurables of great quarterbacks in the past.” “He has the height, arm, speed, and size,” says the coach.
Patrick Mahomes was tried to be removed from the conversation by Dan Patrick, but Arians praised Herbert once again. I don’t believe anybody, not even Patrick, is playing better than he is right now.”
Teams passed on Oregon’s product in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa, as well as Jordan Love, got the most attention in some quarters. Herbert, on the other hand, has beaten them all so far.

Mahomes is a once-in-a-generation quarterback, but it doesn’t mean he’ll be unstoppable. Herbert has shown to be a hard worker. Instead, he’s becoming into one of the best young passers in the game.
