When the Vikings selected Jefferson at No. 22 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, they struck gold. Henry Ruggs III, Jerry Jeudy, and Jalen Reagor were among the four wide outs that went off the board before the LSU product heard his name. CeeDee Lamb was picked 17th overall by the Cowboys, and he’s a rising star.
Jefferson, on the other hand, has excelled them all. In his rookie season, the Rose, Louisiana native caught 88 catches for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns. He set a new rookie receiving record in the NFL and sent a message to the rest of the league.
With a great performance against one of the NFL’s top cornerbacks, Jefferson can make yet another statement. He was recently a guest on Richard Sherman’s podcast, The Richard Sherman Podcast. Sherman inquired about Jefferson’s duel with Trevon Diggs.
“Honestly, I’m a huge fan of this matchup,” Jefferson remarked. “For starters, it’s Sunday evening, so you already know what time it is… He’s been doing his thing, which I like because it allows me to compete with him and show the world… “He’s a ballhawk, and I’m a ballhawk as well.”
Diggs is also prepared for his duel with Jefferson. He told The Dallas Morning News, “He’s probably one of the greatest receivers in our draft class.” “He and CeeDee [Lamb] have a lot in common. It’ll be a terrific matchup.” “Really good, skilled, go grab the ball, good routes, and yes, it’ll be a good matchup.”

The Sunday Night Football showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings is a surprisingly nice one. The Cowboys have only lost one game this season, and the Vikings, who are 3-3, have a lot to prove against one of the league’s hottest teams.
